Harlech castle is well worth a visit during your stay. Check local paper for any events being staged during the season. Also plenty of gift and antique shops in the town itself.

Large busy town approximately 5 miles from the cotage, with plenty of shops- including a Portmeirion factory shop and 2 Portmeirion gift shops. Also lovely walks around the harbour to nearby Borth Y Gest. Famous Black Rock Sands beach is just a couple of miles away.

Just past the beautiful village of Bedgelert (approximately 7 Miles from the cottage) is Llyn Gwynant. Lovely scenery and just a short drive from Llanberis and Snowdon.

The Festiniog Railway runs throughout the year with many more trips in the summer season. The main station is in Porthmadog with a restaurant and gift shops. A lovely trip back in time with stations along the way where you can step off and explore and catch the next train back.
